A closer look at print finishing techniques

Soft touch lamination and spot UV

10th January 2012

There are numerous ways that Four Corners Print can assist you with print finishing techniques to make your material stand out from the crowd.

Below is just one example where we have used different techniques to give some packaging a quality and unique look as well as a tactile feel. Silk sheets we firstly soft touch laminated to one side before being spot Uv'd on the same side in a lattice pattern.

The contrast of the lamination and the UV gave a subtle yet striking look when caught in the light. The sheets then went on to to glued to board and made into some presentation boxes but the same effect can be applied to almost anything from brochures to postcards.
